Lockerly Arboretum

The Arboretum, home to over 3,000 kinds of plants from around the world, is a fifty acre living museum with outdoor and indoor classrooms. Situated on the south side of Milledgeville, we are located on the southern edge of Georgia’s rolling Piedmont Province and just above the Fall Line (the prehistoric coastline) Because of this strategic location, the Arboretum straddles two climate zones, and its diversity embraces flora that normally would be found on the Costal Plain as well as those found in the mountains. The Arboretum has hiking and driving trails throughout the property along with tropical and desert greenhouses.
